A FOODIE’S FIND OF A COZY AUTHENTIC VIETNAMESE EATERY tucked some 15-25 min drive from Central Pittsburg.... It’s DECIDEDLY the city’s BEST PHO. The early is a very cozy nook of an early with a minimalist yet very pleasant dining atmosphere . The menu is shortish, with a good listings of familiar Pho and Bun, and Banh Mi for snackers. THERE’S FEW ADDITIONAL TERRIFIC FARES that are fairly uncommon in other Vietnamese establishments. RECOMMENDATIONS: Any 2-3 of the appetizers would be sufficiently enjoyable meal. Hot Chili Oil, a table condiment that lifts up the flavor of any food. Bo La Lot: Grilled beef, then minced and wrapped in betel nut leaves. EXOTIC EXQUISITELY FLAVORFUL BY ITSELF. The fresh green garnishes are just really a great way to savor the flavor. THIS IS THE PLACE WITH THREE BEST PHO: very aromatic and flavorful consomme as only a Vietnamese cook can make. Any of the pho is more than satisfying. I am most partial to the NEW SAIGON SPECIAL PHO... WITHOUT THE NOODLES one immerses into the a sheer splendor of the flavorful and aromatic beef bone consomme... SIP with gusto. Then the surprise of a piece de resistance of a hunk of tender juicy short rib... It’s heavenly!!! There are a few dish listed that not Vietnamese pseudo-Asian American concoctions (like the crazy cheese wonton and general tso, which apparently are added for the uninitiated. *****these are “business foibles” that as a Foodie one ignores given the OUTSTANDING FLAVORS OF THE AUTHENTIC VIET DISHES Service is outstanding. WORTH FOR REPEAT VISITS

I ordered the chicken gyoza, rare beef pho, and grilled chicken bahn mi. Starting with the pho, my main reason for coming, was excellent, 9.1/10. The broth was close to perfect in my opinion, deep full flavor. I like spice and their house chili oil was great. Gyoza and bahn mi were also very good, fresh, hot, cooked and seasoned well. The inside is fairly small, but clean and well lit. Definitely would come back and try more of the menu, but I don’t think I’d be able to not get the pho again. So good

To anyone who is not familiar with Vietnamese culture, do not expect starbucks-smile-in-your-face-customer service. You'll get delicious food quick. But service other wise might be slow. Come ready to eat delicious food but chill & be patient. There's only 8 tables and minimal staff. They're doing more than enough by cooking the best pho I've ever had at a restaurant. Order the beef and beef brisket! Delicious home made taste pho broth. So good it didnt need hoison or Siracha sauce. Reminded me of my dad's pho. Spring rolls were fresh and the dipping sauce was flavorful. Calamari was crispy and loved that it was fried with onions and bell peppers. I greatly appreciated seeing so many vietnamese customers eating here.
